Meraas launches Summer app

Meraas has launched a new app titled ‘Sizzling Summer’ for the residents of Dubai. The app is free to download for iOS and Android devices via the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, respectively. The app is packed with deals and discounts that can be redeemed in participating outlets at Meraas destinations, which include City Walk, The Beach, Boxpark, Last Exit, The Outlet Village, and Kite Beach.

The app’s functionality and intuitive search options allow users to quickly and easily find nearby offer. The seasonal promotions will encompass a wide spectrum of offerings, allowing users to eat, shop, play, and relax for less this summer. Participants include Rocco Barocco, Banana Republic, Le BHV Marais, Leopold's of London, Galeries Lafayette Le Gourmet, L'Occitane en Provence, TOMS, and Clinton Street Bakery. Users will also be able to enjoy 20% off their total bill at places like Poco Loco, Pots, Pans & Boards, Lima Dubai Butcha Steakhouse & Grill, and The Brass, as well as deals and discounts for all the family at Hub Zero, Mattel Play! Town, The Green Planet, Qasr Al Sultan, Nikki Beach and Valiant Clinic.

The Sizzling Summer app will also be supported by an interactive campaign featuring fictional Australian survival expert ‘Bruce’ and sidekick ‘Saif’, who find themselves in Dubai in the height of summer. Drawing on survival skills learned living in the hottest place on earth, Bruce will also be discovering fun activities and money-saving offers at Meraas destinations, while providing advice on how to ‘stay cool’ during the long hot summer.

The tongue-in-cheek campaign will feature a series of comedic videos on the escapades of the hapless explorer, and will also be supported by a dedicated microsite, blog, and social media. The ‘Sizzling Summer’ campaign will run until 31 September 2017.
