Travel Car-free and enjoy meals at Intercontinental Dubai Festival City

The luxury hotel is offering complimentary buffet dinner to 10 guests travelling to the hotel solely by public transport

The eighth edition of the annual car-free day will be held on February 5, 2017 and InterContinental Dubai Festival City will be supporting the initiative with an offering of free dining at its ANISE restaurant.

The first 10 guests to travel to the hotel solely by public transport on February 5th and who can prove the journey with relevant receipts will receive a complimentary buffet dinner in ANISE per person.

“We are delighted to support this great green initiative and do our bit towards helping the city of Dubai achieve its environmental goals, reduce pollution and improve air quality through reductions in carbon dioxide emissions. This is a fun challenge which we think a lot of people will want to get involved in!” said James Koratzopoulos, Regional General Manager of the IHG Hotels in Dubai.

The public are advised that there are at least three possible routes to the hotel by public transport including the use of the Dubai Metro (the nearest stations are Rashadiya Metro Station, Emirates Metro Station and Creek Metro), RTA buses (Dubai Festival City is served by numbers 53, 43, 24 and 64A), and even a water taxi from Al Jaddaf Marine Station. The use of RTA or private taxis is not included in the initiative.

Guests will need to show the proof of travel to the restaurant welcome desk on arrival and it is on a first-come-first-served basis.
